The Waldorf Astoria Chicago is considered the most prestigous hotel address in Chicago at present, and is one of the best city hotels in North America. It has received acclaim for its elegant design emulating the grand hotels of Paris in the 1920s.

Balsan is a sophisticated European bistro, featuring a simple Western inspired menu. There are plenty of the Gold Coast's acclaimed restaurants and bars within short walking distance, including some of Chicago’s 15, Michelin star restaurants.

April through May or September through October are best times to visit Chicago. This is when the temperatures are warm and the city comes alive with festivities. Winter can be extremely windy and cold with lots of snow hence it is time appropriate only for business or short visits to Chicago’s excellent dining venues
