Location

The Setai Miami is located in South Beach, at the north end of Miami’s historic Art Deco District. In the surrounding area there are approximately 800 preserved Art Deco style buildings. Lincoln Road, with its wealth of shops, cafes, restaurants, and the famous South Beach nightlife, is only a few blocks away.

The Hotel & Design

The hotel is divided between two buildings, the modern tower, located along the beach; and the refurbished former Dempsey Vanderbilt Hotel. In contrast to the Art Deco exteriors, the interiors are very elegant with elements of Asian design, incorporating black brick, granite with natural teak tones, and volcanic rock. The outdoor area features three separate pools and a small beach.

Accommodation

The Art Deco building has three room types: Studio Suites, Junior Suites, and One-Bedroom Suites, each featuring grand windows and balconies. The Tower rooms are spacious and modern and offer views of the Atlantic and the Setai Pool area.

Dining

The Setai dining options range from Asian-inspired dishes served in the sophisticated atmosphere of the restaurant, to beachside Mediterranean fare. The Bar & Courtyard offers nightly drinks and snacks. New to Miami Beach is The Setai Grill, a prime steakhouse which offers exclusive prime cuts of meat and a fine seafood selection.

Leisure

The award winning spa at The Setai has specially designed treatment suites offering ocean and pool views. The hotel also has extensive fitness facilities.

Getting There

20min by car from Miami International Airport (MIA) and 40min from Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)

Mixed Blessing

August 20, 2014

Well located in the best part of Miami beach. The Setai is well appointed and designed but lacks character in some ways.Lovely inner courtyard for breakfast and evening drinks. The pool scene is tame by Miami standards but that can be a blessing. The pool restaurant is well located but very disappointing in quality.A very safe, albeit pricey and sterile option.Maybe better is available.
