Location

The Sanchaya is located on the northern shores of Bintan Island, overlooking Logai Bay; up and coming beach resort that is growing in popularity. The area has many exceptional, white sand beaches and beautiful mangroves line the shore nearby. Wildlife is abundant with monkeys on land, and dolphins and turtles in the sea. The island itself forms part of the Riau Archipelago, so island hopping is actively encouraged.

Accommodation

Suites are available in The Great House, which benefit from direct access to the main facilities, wraparound verandas that have breath-taking views of the sea, and separate living and sleeping areas. There are a number of spacious villas available, which are divided into two categories; Mali Villas, each of which has an expansive bedroom, a dressing room a luxurious bathroom, a fully furnished terrace and a private garden; and the stunning Sen Trang Villas, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two lounge areas, a dressing room and no less than four terraces and a private garden, ensuring that everyone has their own private outdoor space.

Dining

The resort provides all-day dining, allowing guests to take meals whenever they wish, with à la carte breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner menus available. Tasanee Grill offers a relaxed dining experience, focusing on Thai dishes and fresh seafood. The Library and Bar is ideal for socialising over cocktails and martinis while The Great House has a wine and cheese tasting cellar with an extensive selection of vintage wines and regular tasting events.

Leisure

If guests can tear themselves away from the stunning beaches, there are a number of water sport activities to enjoy. Red Bull water sport events are often held on Bintan Island and there conditions are perfect for kite-boarding between December and April. Back on land, the Spa has six treatment rooms and provides relaxing and natural treatments, with ingredients drawn from the three-hectare garden and everything overseen by the Spa Consultant Jacqueline le Sueur. Guests can look for the perfect give at the ‘Piece of a Collection’ boutique, which has a wide range of exquisite antiques and decorations.
