Location

Necker Island is located in the Caribbean just to the east of the British Virgin Islands. The island itself measures 300,000sqm, with the Great House forming the focal point of the resort. The Great House is situated on the highest point of the island, and enjoys spectacular views of the sea. A number of beautiful beaches surround the island, each offering a unique experience and all of which are easily accessible from the island’s various accommodation options.

Accommodation

The eight Great House Bedrooms are open and spacious, and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the sea. Each has its own private balcony and en-suite bathroom, while the Master Suite, located on the upper level, has an outdoor Jacuzzi and a sundeck. The island’s six individually named Balinese private houses, three of which enjoy a clifftop loation, have private en-suite bathrooms and share a plunge pool and a swimming pool. Bali Cliff house also benefits from an incredible open-air bathroom, while Bali Lo has an exceptional relaxation area on the 3rd tier of the building. While individual rooms and suites can be rented, the entire island can also be hired, making it the perfect venue for weddings and celebrations.

Dining

The Great House features a different theme each night and meals can be taken on the roof terrace, which is the perfect venue for a romantic meal for two with views of the setting sun. The Beach House is a perfect party venue, with seats for up to 40 guests, while Turtle Beach is ideal for lunch and features a picnic-style barbeque. The floating sushi bar features beautifully decorated sushi-filled kayaks, which are floated across the Beach Pool by the island’s sushi chef, who is on-hand to inform guests about the sashimi and rolls on offer. Bali Hi Beach features a large bonfire surrounded by comfortable, cushioned lounge boxes and candlelit tables.

Leisure

A wide range of water based activities are available around the island, with kite surfing, windsurfing, water-skiing, sailing and paddle boarding all possible. Snorkelling and scuba diving conditions are often ideal and a range of wreck, reef and night dives can be arranged. On dry land there is the zip-line, offering an exciting shortcut from the Great House to Turtle Beach. Tennis instruction is available on the two floodlit courts, while those just looking to relax will be able to make the most of the numerous sun-drenched beaches and swimming pools scattered across the island. The island also hosts the Bali Leha and Bali Samudra spa treatment rooms, which offer a range of massages, facials and skin-care rituals. In the evenings it is party time and each night has a different theme to get guests in the mood for a good time.
