Location

Nizuc is the latest addition to the Riviera Maya scene of super luxurious resorts. It is located in Punta Nizuc, just south of Cancun and close to Cancun Airport.

Resort Background

At present the resort is managed by La Brisas, however, Nizuc’s initial vision and concept were developed by Alan Becker, an American developer; Adrian Zecha, the founder of Aman Resorts; and the much celebrated architect, Jean-Michel Gathy.

Accommodation

Nizuc has 274 luxurious suites and private villas located on a 29-acre property. The resort’s garden pool villas are very spacious, measuring at over 2,430 sq. ft. (consisting of 1,050 sq. ft. of outdoor area and 1,380 sq. ft. of internal space) and featuring a private tropical garden with an infinity pool and waterfall. The smaller (950 sq. ft.) Ocean suites have 710 sq. ft. of interior space and floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto a 240 sq. ft. terrace boasting Ocean views.

Dining

The resort’s six restaurants serve contemporary Mexican dishes, Peruvian fare, as well as Asian and Mediterranean food. La Punta Grill & Lounge, with its thatched roof and tropical setting, serves seafood and grilled meat in a casual outdoor atmosphere with panoramic ocean views. Indochine offers Oriental specialties while the Terra Nostra restaurant, with a rooftop bar, serves Mediterranean cuisine. The Havana Lounge has an extensive selection of rums from the Caribbean.

Spa

Nizuc’s 30,000 sq. ft. Spa is the first ESPA branded spa on the Yucatan Peninsula.
