Location:

The Mandarin Oriental Marrakech occupies an excellent location, just minutes’ from the city centre and yet surrounded by 20 hectares of gardens and olive groves. The hotel enjoys uninterrupted views of the stunning Atlas Mountains, which overlook the city. The hotel offers direct access to the Royal Golf Club, which is located immediately alongside the resort and Golf Al Maaden which is located just to the south east of the resort. Golf Amelkis is located a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Other nearby attractions include the Jemaa el-Fna marketplace, just 5km away; and the Koutoubia Mosque, just 7km away.

Accommodation:

Atlas Suites measure 135sqm and are large enough to accommodate up to three guests. The spacious suites have a living room, a large bedroom with a king-size bed, a bathroom with deep soaking baths, a walk-in closet and a beautiful terrace with a private plunge pool and views of Atlas Mountains. Panoramic Suites measure 192sqm and have a larger bedroom, a larger terrace, and a walk-in closet larger than some hotel bedrooms. Infinity Pool Suites measure 290sqm, accommodating up to 5 guests and featuring two bedrooms each with its own bathroom, a large living room connected to both bedrooms, two walk-in closets, a Turkish bath and an exceptionally large garden terrace with a dining area and an 18m infinity lap-pool. The Royal Suite, at 218sqm is more compact but makes excellent use of the space, featuring 2 plunge pools and exceptional Moroccan touches, such as Berber motifs, hand-woven Rabat rugs, traditional regional architectural elements. There are exceptional views of the resort’s gardens, with floor-to-ceiling windows helping to bring this view inside and allowing it to permeate throughout the suite. Mandarin Pool Villas are stunning, 288sqm accommodations set around a 22sqm outdoor pool. The pool area dominates this villa, with an outdoor shower, a curtained alcove, a green area, a cosy fireplace, a dining area and a stunning Jacuzzi taking pride of place at the centre. Oriental Pool Villas measure an impressive 423sqm and have a similar design, with a 60sqm outdoor pool and a Jacuzzi forming the centrepiece of the accommodation. The Atlas, Panoramic and Royal Suites can be combined to create a stunning 1,138sqm Penthouse suite with 8 bedrooms and occupying an entire floor of the hotel.

Dining:

Mes’lalla offers guests an ideal opportunity to explore a fusion of modern cuisine and Moroccan culinary traditions, expertly created by Chef Cherkaoui. The Restaurant takes its name from the fresh green olives of the region of the Meknès and ingredients used are drawn from the local producers and the hotel’s own organic garden. Le Salon Berbere is an excellent breakfast venue and tea lounge offering a wide selection of international sweets and cakes, and in the evening, transforming into a chic champagne bar. The Pool Garden serves classic Mediterranean cuisine and is an excellent venue for a relaxed lunch, with healthy light bites, both vegetarian and meat options and seafood all available.

Leisure:

Covering 1,800sqm, the spa has six treatment rooms including two suites, each with a private relaxation garden. Some treatment rooms have outside treatment rooms, while couples’ rooms are equipped with vitality baths. The spa has separate male and female Turkish baths as well as a hairdressing and beauty salon with manicure and pedicure stations. There is a large indoor swimming pool, a fitness and wellness centre, and a yoga studio.

The three nearby golf courses (two of which border the resort) are sure to appeal to avid golfers. The concierge is on-hand to arrange tours of the local area and guided trips to the Atlas Mountains can be arranged. The city also offers some exceptional luxury shopping opportunities, and the concierge will be happy to provide advice and can organise special guided shopping tours on requests.
