Opened in 2013, Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou is a new addition to the Guangzhou luxury hotel scene. It is located in the modern Tianhe business and commerce district and it is directly connected to Taikoo Hui, the most exclusive shopping mall in southern China.
Mandarin Oriental has 233 spacious rooms (60-70sqm) and 30 suites (108-240sqm), including a 240sqm Presidential Suite. All rooms have a modern Chinese design and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the city.
There are five restaurants and bars at the hotel, including an exquisite Cantonese restaurant (Jiang) and a sophisticated grill (Ebony Light) offering Western cuisine. Jiang by Chef Fei is possibly one of the best restaurants in the city, whilst afternoon tea and dim sum are served daily at Taikoo Lounge. Excellent cakes, sandwiches and pastries are also available at the Mandarin Cake Shop.
There are nine private treatment rooms at the hotel’s MO Spa. The hotel also has a fitness centre and a 25-metre, temperature-controlled outdoor pool.
The meeting and events facilities include a 750sqm Grand Ballroom and The Tian He Room boasting 200sqm of conference and meeting space.
The Mandarin Oriental is 45 minutes from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) and 5 minutes from the high-speed rail link terminal to Hong Kong.
