Location

Lizard Island is a beautiful island, 27km off the coast of North Queensland. The island itself is a National Park,  spanning 1,013ha,and the resort sits on the western coast of the island. The island is home to   24 beautiful sandy beaches as well as a lagoon, all of which are easily accessible from the resort. The island is perfectly located for exploring the Great Barrier Reef and there are a number of amazing dive sites located around the island’s coast.

Accommodation

Garden Rooms which measure 44sqm and are located close to Anchor Bay, feature understated interior design and a wide range of amenities. Garden Suites are larger at 62sqm, and accommodate up to 4 guests. Each of the Garden Suites has a balcony with a beautiful view, and direct access to the beach. Anchor Bay Suites are among the most spacious available on the island, measuring approximately 87sqm and feature an elegant open plan design and large verandas with daybeds. Sunset Point Villas which measure between 55-59sqm are especially secluded feature  large bathrooms, fully furnished private decks and  hammocks while  some of them come with the added luxury of a private plunge pool.  The  resort’s most luxurious accommodation options include; the Pavilion, a 139sqm suite with 270 degree panoramic views of the sea, a spacious lounge that opens on to an expansive deck and a private plunge pool; and The Villa, a beautiful 154sqm residence located on a ridge with exceptional views of the sea, two en-suite bedrooms, a spacious lounge area, a butler’s kitchen and an 8-metre wide plunge pool.

Dining

Ospreys Restaurant offers exceptional views of the sea and appropriately specializes in exquisite sea food dishes. The menu which changes on a daily basis is inspired by Australian, Asian and European cuisine. The resort can also arrange for guests to enjoy private beachside Degustation Dinners, comprising a 7-course meal with minimal staff intrusions so as to ensure guests experience the greatest level of privacy possible. Gourmet hampers can also be arranged, allowing guests to escape to a secluded beach with everything they need for the perfect beach picnic, while the resort’sLizard’s Bar and Lounge offers guests the perfect opportunity to socialise and relax, and serves tropical juices, beers, wines, and cocktails.
