Location

Las Ventanas al Paraiso means ‘the window to paradise’, though this gives just an idea of the beauty of its surroundings. Situated between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, the hotel overlooks the Pacific Ocean from the tip of Baja Peninsula. Numerous sites of interest can be found in the surrounding area, and the region receives on average 350 days of sunshine each year; perfect for sun-seekers.

Accommodation

As there are only suites and villas at Las Ventanas al Paraiso, the ‘entry level’ accommodations are Junior suites, which measure an impressive 89sqm and feature a spacious bathroom with a separate marble shower, a large bedroom with a stunning fireplace, and an expansive terrace/patio that doubles as a living area. These exceptional suites have views of either the gardens or the ocean. Oceanfront and Oceanview Rooftop Terrace Junior suites offer the same luxuries, but with the addition of a rooftop terrace, accessed by means of a private staircase, where guests can enjoy unparalleled views. Two-Bedroom and Three-Bedroom suites measure 210sqm and 360sqm respectively, featuring a spacious living room, bedrooms with direct access to their own terraces and en suite bathroom (all of which have their own Jacuzzi), a kitchen and a cosy dining area. The 370sqm Two-Bedroom Ty Warner Penthouse adds a rooftop terrace with sun loungers and an oversized Jacuzzi, has a larger dining room, and includes a dedicated BBQ/grill area. All suites have a unique in-room tequila welcoming service and many of the suites include a personal butler service as standard. Villas measure from 148sqm and offer the highest level of privacy and luxury, featuring expansive patios, outdoor dining areas and private courtyards. Villas with their own media rooms or wellness rooms are also available. The most glamorous villa however is the Three-Bedroom Oceanview Signature Villa, which measures an incredible 510sqm, has a grand infinity-edge pool featuring a swim-up bar, a fire pit by the poolside, an expansive terrace and genuine Mexican artwork and a host of other luxuries. All villas include a 60-minute in-villa welcome massage, a bath-butler with a custom amenity menu, a nightly aromatherapy turndown, and a dedicated villa-host available 24 hours a day.

Dining

The Restaurant serves national dishes that utilize fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, accompanied by wines from the restaurant’s award winning wine selection. The dishes are designed to take guests on a tour through the different regions of Mexico and are very much a gastronomic experience. La Cava is an intimate dining room surrounded by hundreds of bottles of wine, where guests can enjoy a special five-course Mexican tasting menu. The Sea Grill focuses on dishes such as fresh ceviche and shellfish, but also serves traditional Mexican tapas and grilled fare. Ceviche & Tequila Bar is another venue that specializes in traditional Mexican seafood dishes, though here the menu is paired with 100-percent blue agave tequilas.

Leisure

The Spa at Las Ventanas has special indoor-outdoor treatment cabanas covered by palms and palapa roofs, while facilities include outdoor showers, private terraces and gardens, saunas, hydrotherapy pools and steam rooms. The Cabo Real Golf Club is located immediately opposite the resort and the El Dorado Golf and Beach Club is just a few hundred meters away. Slightly further afield, though still just a few minutes’ drive, are the Cabo del Sol Golf and Club Resort, Palmilla Golf Club and Querencia Golf Club, which together make this a true golfers paradise.
