Location

Alila Villas is a resort set on a limestone coastal cliff, some 100 m above the ocean and is a masterpiece of modern luxury design and living space. The resort, located close to Uluwatu village on the island's Bukit Peninsula, consists of a cluster of buildings with extensive terraces, pools and gardens.

Accommodation

There are 61 villas, all with pools, divided into two categories; one-bedroom villas (295sqm) and huge three-bedroom villas (2000-3000sqm), of which 5 are located at the edge of the cliff. Although farthest from the resort facilities, the one bedroom villas located at the edge of the resort (i.e. those numbered in the 300s and 400s) are at a higher elevation and therefore possess much better views and offer greater privacy. The modern villas feature an elevated outdoor pavilion overlooking the ocean, outdoor dining area and expansive bathroom.

Dining

There are two restaurant venues at Alila, namely, CIRE, which is positioned on a cliff 70 metres above sea level and offers contemporary Western cuisine; and The Warung, offering a traditional Indonesian & Balinese menu.

Leisure

The resorts facilities include a palm-fringed, 50-metre pool and the Sunset Cabana with an overhanging cliff-side platform with dramatic views across the Indian Ocean. There is also a spa and fitness centre, an extensive resort library, and a cigar bar. The beach can be accessed via a steep staircase leading down from the resort.

Getting There

30 minutes by car from International airport in Denpasar (DPS). Jimbaran Bay with the famous Uluwatu Temple is 15min drive away.
