Location

Located on the east coast of Tasmania, Saffire Freycinet is nestled within the Freycinet National Park, and occupies a prime peninsular position. The resort overlooks the beautiful Great Oyster Bay and also has incredible views across the Hazards mountain range. Stunning white beaches and a mountainous landscape ensure that there is plenty of exploring to be done in the area around the hotel.

Accommodation

With just 20 suites available, the emphasis is very much on quality. Guests can chose from  three luxurious types of suite . Luxury Suites (80sqm) and Signature Suites (96sqm) feature local furnishings and have spacious, separated living and relaxation areas, as well as  decks to enjoy the spectacular views. Private Pavilions (140sqm) offer the highest level of luxury, featuring a dining area with kitchen, and allow guests the option of dining in-suite with a personal chef; a premium mini bar, complete with French champagne; and a plunge pool on a private courtyard, which is ideal for entertaining larger groups.

Dining

The signature and unmissable dining experience at Saffire Freycinet is undoubtedly  fresh oysters and local wine, served at a specially prepared table, ankle deep in the calm waters of the estuary. Palate Restaurant is the hotel’s main dining venue, which offers multi-course degustation menus with a different selection of dishes available each day, making use of locally sourced ingredients and the top wines from the region, and all of which is overseen by Executive Chef, Hugh Whitehouse. The Lounge provides a relaxing area with beautiful views and transforms itself into a lively venue in the evenings where guests can enjoy evening drinks and canapés.

Leisure

All guests benefit from the complimentary experiences package, which includes the Tasmanian Devil experience, Wineglass Bay lookout walk, canoeing on Pelican Bay and wine tasting in the nearby town of Bicheno. The hotel has its own luxurious, purpose-built boat, which provides tours and hosts the ‘Pique Nique’ dining experience. Guests travelling via Hobart International Airport will also benefit from the Saffire Freycinet Airport Lounge, which offers internet facilities, showers, and exceptional service from the Saffire Frecinet staff, topped off by beautiful views of the area and a relaxing environment to unwind while  waiting for connecting flights.
