Location

Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp offers one of the most isolated safari experiences, only accessible by light aircraft and surrounded by untouched wilderness. The camp sits close to the Hoanib River, beside the Skeleton Coast National Park and the Palmwag area. Scenic flights are available from the camp, revealing seal colonies, shipwrecks and beautiful scenery, all along the spectacular Namibian coastline.

Accommodation

The camp has just 7 twin-bedded tents and one family unit available. Each tent has its own en-suite bathroom and a shaded observation deck, while the family unit comes with two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The accommodation is stylish and the amenities and luxuries on offer ensure the highest degree of comfort for guests.

Dining

The camp has a dining room, inside and outside lounge areas and a bar. Al fresco dining is highly recommended due to the incredible star-gazing opportunities afforded by the combination of Namibia’s clear skies and the isolation of the camp. Picnics are available during excursions, offering a truly exotic dining experience.

Leisure

Morning, afternoon, and full-day game drives are available from the camp, which cross the surrounding desert terrain in search of big game and other wildlife. Nature walks bring guests face-to-face with desert animals and day trips are available to the beautiful desert oases. The camp cooperates with local wildlife researchers, including Dr Flip Stander who researches the local desert adapted lions.

Getting There

The camp is only accessible by light aircraft. Transfers are available from Doro Nawas and flights operate between Windhoek and Skeleton Coast Park (2 hrs 30 minutes)
