The Chedi Muscat is one of the most beautiful hotels in the Middle East. The resort design is a mix of Omani architecture and Asian Zen-style. The minimalist lines of the low-rise buildings are complemented by symmetrical gardens with lines of perfect hedges and pools of water. The Chedi has received numerous awards for its design, service standards, accommodation and restaurant quality.
The hotel’s beach location is in a quiet suburb of Muscat, 20km north of the city centre. It is not only a great beach resort but also an excellent base from which to explore Muscat and central Oman, including its mountains and ancient forts.
The hotel has 158 rooms and suites (33sqm to 67sqm). The smallest Serai Rooms are located in two three-storey buildings, whereas the spacious Club Rooms and Chedi Club Suites are located in separate buildings spread throughout the 21 acres of Chedi’s beachfront property. Deluxe Club Rooms (8) and Chedi Club Suites (38) are the best of the accommodation options at the Chedi. They are spacious, many have views of the sea or landscaped gardens, and they provide access to The Chedi Club Lounge.
There are 6 restaurants at The Chedi Muscat. They offer excellent menus from the Mediterranean, Middle East, Southeast Asia and India. Stylishly designed by renowned Japanese interior designer, Yasuhiro Koichi of Design Studio SPIN, The Restaurant the main dining venue blends clean Asian interiors with Omani architectural details.
The Chedi offers guests a choice of three pools: the adults-only infinity Chedi Pool, surrounded by cabanas and with a seafront location; the Long Pool, a new 103-metre outdoor pool; and the family friendly Serai Pool. There is newly built spa with an 800 sqm relaxation and fitness centre.
