Amandayan located in Yunnan province, renowned for its pleasant climate and widely called the ‘Land of Eternal Spring’ occupies a hectare of land close to the World Heritage listed Lijiang Old Town with its outstanding parks, springs and temples . Lijiang is approximately 2,400 metres above sea level and the mountainous terrain that covers the province affords spectacular views.
All suites at the resort are decorated with designs that draw from local ethnic traditions and make use of local materials, with beautiful furniture carved by local craftsmen. Man Yi Xuan is the resort’s main restaurant, and is focussed on Yunnan and Cantonese cuisine, with a dim sum menu also available for lunch. The Lounge serves Western and Asian cuisine and features fresh, organic produce. The Tea House offers al fresco dining with both Western and Chinese tea sets available, accompanied by cakes and pastries, as well as traditional dim sum.
The Aman Spa has six double treatments rooms, each with its own relaxation area; and four wet-treatment rooms, specially designed for scrubs, wraps and massages. The spa menu is inspired by traditional Chinese medicine and a yoga and Pilates studio is also available. The resort also has a fully equipped fitness centre and a swimming pool and its own 30-seat42.5 sqm screen cinema with a for private film screenings. In the surrounding area, photography, horse riding, bird watching and hiking are popular activities, providing the perfect opportunities to take in the beautiful scenery of the area.
