Location

Overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Trident Hotel is located in Port Antonio, close to Frenchman Cove’s Beach in northeastern Jamaica. The hotel is one of the three new projects of the Geejam Collection, which includes the nearby landmark, Trident Castle and the Blue Lagoon Restaurant & Villas scheduled to open by the end of 2013. The hotel reopened in April 2013, following an extensive renovation program, but retains most of its original Jamaican-Georgian exteriors.

Accommodation

Trident Hotel offers 13 one- and two-bedroom villas with private, heated plunge pools and terraces overlooking the Caribbean Sea. All villas have a lounge with flat-screen cable TV. The all white villas have been decorated in a contemporary style.

Dining

Trident Hotel's restaurant serves à la carte breakfast and lunch, while dinner with live jazz music can be enjoyed at Mike’s Supper Club. Local restaurants and bars can also be found in Port Antonio, a 10-minute drive away. The hotel’s main 80-seat restaurant, Mike’s Supper Club enjoys views of the sea and offers internationally influenced dishes with an emphasis on Jamaican and Japanese cuisine. The hotel also boasts an elegant Explorer’s Lounge with a comprehensive library and antique billiard’s table, as well as a Time Bar serving house-made drinks.

Trident Castle

Trident Castle has eight rooms and is available for exclusive hire. Built as a private residence by architect Earl Levy in 1979, the Trident Castle has become a symbolic landmark of Port Antonio’s history. The hotel has a swimming pool with a deck overlooking the ocean, a helicopter pad, and a petite private chapel set among its expansive lawns and terraces.
