The award winning Singular Patagonia Hotel is located near Puerto Natales, one of the southernmost cities in the world and a gateway to Chilean Patagonia, known for its dramatic landscapes, glaciers, fjords, and national parks including the famous Torres del Paine National Park.
The hotel is housed in a former frigorífico, a cold-storage plant built in 1906. Pedro Kovacic, a local architect, has preserved the original industrial architecture of this historical building, adding a room module with state of the art technology and design. The new module houses 54 modern rooms (45sqm) and three suites. All rooms and suites have views of the Patagonian fjords, thanks to 6m or 12m wide windows.
The hotel’s modern restaurant, carved from a cavernous chamber, serves traditional Patagonian food including: Magellan lamb and king crab. The décor is industrial and still features elements of the old plant.
The Singular’s 3000sqf spa features a heated indoor/outdoor pool and a sauna. Available activities include horseback riding to neighboring estancias, bike tours, or excursions in the hotel's 16-passenger motor launch. Torres del Paine national park is an hour and a half drive to the north.
