Location

Overlooking the famous Bund boulevard and futuristic Pudong district across Huangpu River, The Peninsula Shanghai is perfectly located. The hotel opened in October 2009 and is the first new building on the Bund in over 60 years.

Accommodation

The Peninsula has 235 guestrooms (54sqm to 89sqm) including 44 suites (90 – 129sqm) with Art Deco inspired interiors. The hotel’s huge premier suites, such as the Palace and Astor Suites, come with private terraces. The Peninsula Suite is the most sought after luxury hotel accommodation in Shanghai.

Dining

The Peninsula has a selection of five restaurants and bars, which include The Lobby, Yi Long Court, Sir Elly's Restaurant, the Bar and Terrace, The Compass Bar and Salon de Ning. Yilong Court serves a Chinese menu, while sophisticated European cuisine can be enjoyed at Sir Elly’s Restaurant. There is the excellent Compass Bar on the top floor and the beautifully designed Salon de Ning offers evenings with live music. The Lobby is the hotel’s all-day dining venue, offering the celebrated Traditional Peninsula Afternoon Tea.

Leisure

The hotel’s excellent facilities include access to a luxurious shopping arcade, conference and events centre, a 25-metre lap indoor swimming pool, The Peninsula Spa by ESPA and a car fleet including Rolls-Royce limousines for guest transfers.

Getting There

The Peninsula Shanghai is 40 minutes by car from Pudong International Airport (PVG) and 30 minutes from Hongqiao International Airport (SHA).
