Location

Situated in the heart of Ulaanbaatar, the Shangri-La is close to a number of the city’s keys attractions and overlooks the Nayramdal Park and Great Chinggis Khaan Square. Within walking distance there is the Choijin Lama Museum, the Mongolian National Library and the famous Government House. A number of embassies and company headquarters are located nearby, making the location ideal for those visiting on business.

Accommodation

Deluxe rooms measure 42sqm, offer beautiful views of either the city or Nayramdal Park, and feature contemporary décor with warm natural colours throughout. Guests may upgrade to Horizon Deluxe rooms which provide access to the Horizon Club Lounge and include a wider range of services and amenities. Executive suites have separate living and sleeping areas, measure 84sqm and have bathrooms with separate marble showers and bathtubs. The three named Speciality suites each measure at least 130sqm and offer a high level of luxury, consisting of a contemporary master bedroom, a separate living room and an exclusive dining area. The Shangri-La suite is the largest and most luxurious accommodation at the hotel, featuring a master bedroom, a large living room, a kitchenette and dining area, and a spacious marble bathroom, altogether measuring 226sqm.

Dining

Cafe Park offers all-day dining with an international buffet and an open kitchen where dishes are made to order. The cuisine blends Western and Asian influences and an all-day a la carte menu is available. Naadam is a restaurant and bar venue focussed on entertainment, featuring a contemporary menu and serving the finest vodkas. Hutong serves traditional Chinese cuisine and has private dining rooms which are ideal for small groups looking to enjoy a relaxed and personal dining experience. The Lobby Lounge is ideal for enjoying tea, coffee, pastries, cakes and cocktails.

Leisure

The Health Club has a fully equipped gym with personal trainers on-hand to provide advice and guidance. As of September 2015, the club will also feature a Jacuzzi, a sauna and a steam bath.

Those looking to host events at the hotel will find the perfect venue in the Shangri-La Ballroom, with its high ceilings and 1,300sqm of space.
