Four Seasons Firenze is located in a beautifully restored property composed of the 15th-century Renaissance-era Palazzo della Gherardesca and Il Conventino, a 16th-century convent. The buildings are connected by an 11-acre (4.5ha) walled park that is one of the largest and most beautiful in Florence. The property was painstakingly restored by Four Seasons before opening in June 2008. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Florence Cathedral, the famous Uffizi and Accademia galleries, and the Ponte Vecchio bridge.

The hotel has 72 guestrooms (39-51sqm), 44 suites (55-105sqm), the Presidential (205sqm) and the Royal Suite (234sqm) located in the Palazzo Scala Della Gherardesca and in Il Conventino. The hotel also boasts La Villa, a separate suite surrounded by landscaped gardens and located close to the Conventino. The rooms combine Renaissance décor with modern hotel facilities.

The hotel's main restaurant, Il Palagio, awarded one Michelin star, serves excellent Tuscan dishes. Its large French doors open to a terrace with seating available for al fresco dining. The restaurant on the ground floor of the Conventino, La Magnolia, offers an intimate venue that serves breakfast for guests staying in this section of the hotel while Al Fresco enjoys a location in the hotel's beautiful park and is shaded by a number of majestic trees. The Atrium Bar offers light meals, drinks and cocktails throughout the day, as well as afternoon teas.

Four Seasons Firenze’s spa features 9 treatment rooms, a Turkish bath and gym. It opens out onto the upper terrace with a pool and hot tub. An outdoor pool and whirlpool are located in the hotel’s gardens
