Eagles Nest is a multi-award winning 75 acre estate overlooking the pristine Bay of Islands close to Russel, a small seaside town on the northern tip of North Island. This is the 21st Century version of Huka Lodge – its five ultra- modern individually designed villas offer lots of light and expansive terraces, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, glass roofed living areas, and heated infinity pools (at selected villas).

Each villa overlooka the spectacular Bay of Islands and is within walking distance of the historic village of Russell. First Light, a one-bedroom villa, is intimate and can accommodate couples while the other four multi-bedroom villas (The Eyrie, Eagle Spirit, Sacred Space and Rahimoana) have infinity pools and are available for groups and families of between 6-8 people. The most spacious and luxurious of the five villas is Rahimoana, an ultimate holiday villa. It has four en-suite bedrooms, a fireplace, home cinema, bar, and a 25-meter heated lap pool; as well as a Jacuzzi, sauna, gym and private beach.

Eagles Nest doesn’t have a central lodge with a restaurant, however it can arrange first class resident chefs to personally cater for any dining requirements including: a gourmet barbeque, picnic, or a full degustation menu. There are also good dining options within Russell town.

For guests staying in Rahimoana Villa, the resort provides added extras including the use of a Porsche Cayene Turbo, personal concierge, an extensive selection of New Zealand wines and French Champagne, a selection of Champagne on arrival, and a personal chef-provisioned refrigerator.

Guests can explore the many islands in the Bay of Islands by helicopter or boat. Some of the many leisure activities available nearby include canoeing, horse riding, and windsurfing.
