Overview

With the opening of Capella Georgetown in March 2013, Washington DC received a much anticipated new luxury boutique hotel and a great new place to stay for business, government matters, and leisure.

Location

Capella Georgetown is located in the center of the historic Georgetown neighborhood, just 10 minutes’ walk from Georgetown University. International financial institutions, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial are just 1 mile away.

Accommodation

There are 49 rooms and suites (including 2 Presidential suites) at the Capella Georgetown. The corner Georgetown Rooms and Capella Suites are the most spacious and have floor to ceiling windows.

Dining

The two dining venues, The Grill Room and The Rye Bar, offer continental cuisine and are key features of the hotel. With an emphasis on current food trends and with a focus on high-quality service, The Grill Room is aiming to be Washington, DC's new prime dining and lunching destination. A seasonal patio alongside the C&O Canal is an excellent venue for daytime coffee or a glass of wine with an evening al fresco dinner.

Leisure

The hotel features an attractive rooftop bar & lounge and a rooftop infinity pool with views of the Potomac River, the Kennedy Center and the Washington Monument. There is also a small spa and fitness room adjacent to the indoor pool.

Getting There

10min by car to major Government and tourist attractions of Washington DC. 7 miles (20 min) from Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) The Dulles International Airport (IAD) is 26 miles (45min) west of Washington. The Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) is 30 miles (60min) east of the city.

Weather / When To Go

September to November is the best time to visit. The hot summer and tourists are gone, the colors of the fall arrive. Second to fall is spring, which is also a mini high season thanks to the Cherry Blossom Festival in late March and early April. Winter is definitely low season
